Yup, here we go then, with the coming New Year it’s about that time to cast the resolutions into the pot, some of which we manage to stick to……and some never see the light of the 2nd of January heheheh. I have given this some thought lately, given the very tough year it has been for myself and those nearest and dearest, we have had a lot to deal with but have scraped through one way or another. So here’s my list.
1. Give up smoking!
Yes I know, filthy habit and one I hope to conquer this year having tried several times in the past to give it up.
2. Spend more quality time with my long-suffering partner.
There are times when we really need to go out and let our hair down, just have some “us” time, so this year, that is what we’re going to do
3. I will buy and read/review at least TWELVE indie author works this coming year.
Having jumped into a very big literary pond recently with my first book Salby Damned, I have been reaching out to other struggling authors and buying their works. Some BRILLIANT stories out there from very creative people around the world.
4. I will complete Salby Evolution, the sequel to the above book, AND publish Being Within, my next paranormal thriller by the end of 2015.
The sequel is well under way, the final book in that story edition, however, the lead characters may resurface again later. Being Within, slightly different course, just to see if I can make it work, a psychological/paranormal marriage attempt…….we shall see.
5. I will undertake some form of recreational exercise.
Not that I have too much spare meat on me, the opposite in fact, but, as the years roll on, my body is telling me that I either need a transplant or I better start taking better care of it ;’)
6. Less time at work, more time with family, time to set the balance back to how it should be.
For as long as I can remember, I have worked excessively long hours, sixty plus most weeks in my regular job, then running the net based mattress business as well as recently taking up writing. A hyper metabolism means I find it hard to sit still sometimes. Time to start enjoying life, rather than just working it.
So, there’s a few to be going on with, do share yours by all means, let’s begin a resolution club ;’) On that note, from my family to yours, we wish you all a safe, prosperous and Happy New Year.
